The idea

When the Phoenix Contact France teams reached out to us in September 2020, their concept was clear: they wanted to showcase their company’s expertise and create a “wow” effect for everyone visiting their brand-new building. And as a cherry on top: if it were possible to understand what interests the visitors so they could be contacted later, the platform would be complete. Challenge accepted!

The execution

The solution

The envisioned web product was designed to operate on tablets and provide a fully immersive experience for visitors. When a new group of visitors arrives at the Phoenix Contact France premises, they are each given a tablet by a guide. The guide is also equipped with a tablet that allows them to control the tour.

Throughout the 10 points of interest distributed across the site, visitors have the opportunity to witness the company’s expertise. Each point of interest has its own unique features: 3D product visualizations, augmented reality immersion to showcase certain products, interactions with sensors and Phoenix Contact hardware, camera views, visitor-triggered actions to interact with the building, lighting control in specific rooms, and more.
3D product in front of a picture
Visualization of a product in augmented reality on the tablet in front of an electrical cabinet
3D weather station with data display
3D visualization of a Phoenix Contact product with real-time data retrieval from the site
Presentation text for a point of interest and navigation buttons
Tracking of tour steps on the tablet by a guide
View of products, including some marked as favorites
Real-time and post-visit view of visitor favorites by the guide
